I watched the 2020 Christian movie, Branded. It’s a reminder that the people before us have suffered persecution, and those coming after us might go through worst. Does the journey get easier? Yes, it does. Not according to what we see, but the joy we experience as we go through trials and temptations. About 1:00 AM this morning I opened my Youversion bible and the verse of the day is in line with my current experience. We should be able to count it all joy!
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
James 1:2-3 KJV
I don’t know what you are going through right now, but I do hope that you count it all joy: count it as a moment of courage, kindness, and of long-suffering, see the big picture. That the Lord thy God will set you free, and go every step with you.
The trying of your faith will work patience in you, build you, and make you strong. Not just for yourself, but also for the people that are looking up to you.
This is not the 2020 we planned for, but remember he has a plan for us, and he knows about it. Yes, he hasn’t forgotten you. Remain in his love today and the next few months will amaze you.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10 KJV
In the remaining months of the year, decide to be intentional about meditating on the word of God, meditate on the verses that point at the seasons you are in, meditate on the word and let it create in you faith and transform you, and let it get rid of every atom of fear. He will uphold you with his right hand of righteousness.
Dwell in peace
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 KJV
I have been in situations that would naturally make me lose my mind, I mean the year alone can make you lose it. But, remember the peace that he gives is not from this world, and that is the peace you should have.
No need to be afraid.
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.”
Philippians 4:6 AMPC
His got us in his palms…
Be encouraged to talk to God about your needs and wants, he is concerned about everything that concerns you. His love for you is reckless. Let your state of mind not define his love for you.
